The process itself is simple.
The Home office receives a claim.
They log into the OA System through a secure Administrative
login and type the information pertaining to the claim
into the system's database. Excel, Access, PDF's,
or digital faxes can also be uploaded and attached
to the claim.
Claims assigned to regional manager or field adjusters
are accessible via the Internet - from anywhere -
by the RM's and FA's at any time...24/7. Memos, notes,conversation
logs can be attached to the claims as well, which
are flagged as read.
For the Home office this means it eliminates wondering
if their employees in other areas have received the
memos they send.
The process itself is simple.
In addition, insurance companies can be given low-level
priviledge to access the claims from their company
- to make notes to the adjuster, or home office, or
just to check the progress!
