Zcorum
ZCorum has its roots as a metropolitan Bulletin Board
System (BBS) of the early 1990s that later grew into
a full-fledged Internet Service Provider. The Data
Center is the heart of the ZCorum network, providing
the infrastructure and systems through which you can
provide fast and reliable broadband Internet and communications
services.
Zcorum keeps their system and services reliable by
using redundant connections and an uninterruptible
power supply. The Data Center is connected to the
Internet backbone by optical fiber circuits routed
through multiple rings. Battery power supplies protect
this connection, and a generator automatically starts
and transfers the load in the event of a sustained
loss of local commercial power. Every five minutes,
a monitoring system checks gateway routers, secondary
routers, and access servers to ensure a trouble-free
system.
